Abstract:A German scientific expedition to Antarctica observes the impact of a large meteorite in the middle of nowhere in the icy desert. A closer inspections shows a large contents of gold and platinum in the core of the meteorite and the race to its exploitation has started.
How can such a fortune be held secret from the world? How can the American expedition be distracted?
A fleet of big and fast airships has taken over the role of the big ocean steamers of Dominik's time. These still serve the same major routes between Europe, Asia and America.
Too bad that this book has obviously never been translated into another language.
Quotation:Dr. Schmidt hatte gut reden.
