The day of the city forrest
Today was the Day of the City Forrest (Stadsskogens dag) here in Uppsala. For everyone who didn’t climb the 180 steps up onto the water tower, here is the view from the top (you will need Apple Quicktime to be installed):

Last week I already found 16 of these markers, and today I added another 28 to my list, bringing me up among these week’s rockets on the homepage.
Not all the markers are actually in the forest, some are close to the water. And there you can watch big and small ships arriving in and leaving Stockholm…
At home on my balcony my chili peppers were drowning this morning after 24 hours of permanent rain. On my Bishop’s Crown I noticed a strange flower – actually two flowers with their stalks grown together. I’m curious to see how these will develop into fruits…

Midnattsloppet 2011
Running in the evening through Stockholm – last Saturday it was time again. The 30th anniversary of the Midnattsloppet and my own 10th participation in this 10 km race through the southern part of Stockholm. More than 24000 had registered themselves for this event – what a surprise to find myself on a photo which Ulf Bengtsson has taken from the side of the track:
